Attic Cleanout Services Long Island — Safe, Fast Attic Clearing
Attic cleanout services on Long Island & NYC — old furniture, boxes, seasonal storage, insulation debris & more. Scrap-It! clears attics safely. Call (631) 464-0272.
Attics are one of the most challenging spaces to clean out — hot, cramped, and loaded with items that haven't been touched in years. Scrap-It! provides professional attic cleanout services across Long Island, handling the physically demanding work of removing decades of stored items, insulation debris, and bulky seasonal storage from tight attic spaces.
Attic cleanouts require careful navigation of tight access hatches, load-bearing limitations, and extreme temperatures. Our crew is trained and equipped for these conditions — safely removing items without damaging your ceiling, insulation, or structure.
We remove boxes and bins, old furniture (broken down where necessary), clothing and textiles, holiday decorations, old electronics, insulation debris (fiberglass only — see note), building materials, and decades of accumulated storage.
Note: Blown-in or batt fiberglass insulation debris that needs to be cleared is removed with appropriate protective equipment. Vermiculite insulation (common in pre-1990 homes) may contain asbestos — if you suspect vermiculite, have it tested before we enter. We cannot remove suspected asbestos-containing materials.
For attic conversions and finished attic renovations, we coordinate with your contractor on what goes and what stays.

Can you remove insulation from an attic?
We can remove fiberglass batt or blown-in insulation debris that has fallen or been disturbed. If you need full attic insulation removed as part of a renovation, we recommend a specialized insulation contractor. We do not remove vermiculite or any suspected asbestos-containing material.
How do you access attics with small pull-down stairs?
Our crew is experienced with standard pull-down attic access. We break down larger items within the attic to fit through the access opening where needed, using protective floor covering on stairs and surrounding areas.
Do you clean out attics in summer heat?
Yes — attic cleanouts are scheduled year-round. We work efficiently in hot conditions and bring water. If access to the attic is unsafe due to extreme heat, we'll reschedule for early morning.
